"Our Walk in the Woods" Fundraiser and Celebration
Thanks to everyone who came to Barnes & Noble in State College on October 29
to hear local authors and hikers, plan for next year's Centre County Reads events,
and raise money for CCR.
The day also featured children's story times and displays of artwork and journals from local hikers.
We held a drawing for prizes during the celebration, and also announced the prizewinners
from all the people who entered the drawing during the
Week of Walks in October.
The winners:

Two local authors talked about their recently published books:

Ian Marshall discussed Peak Experiences: Walking Meditations
on Nature, Literature, and Need.
- Bill Russell spoke about Field Guide to Wild Mushrooms
of Pennsylvania and the Mid-Atlantic at 3:30. Both authors signed
copies.
