Welcome!

Read along with this year's Breakfast Serial

For the third year, Centre Country Reads is sponsoring a "Breakfast Serial", a serialized novel that appears each week in the Centre Daily Times. "Janko and the Giant: A Tale of Old Slovakia" is a family-friendly adventure tale that is appearing each Saturday from June 1 through July 20, 2008. We invite all county residents to read along each week with your children.

This tale is by Joseph Bruchac, a well-known author whose many books about fables and legends can be found in libraries and stores. However, "Janko and the Giant" is only available through this book serial program. See The Breakfast Serials page about the tale.
